Area Red Cross teams from Lincoln and Omaha are heading to Colorado on Monday.
Eight well-trained disaster action workers will head west to help the thousands of people who have been forced out of their homes due to the rising water.
Red Cross volunteers are staffing shelters or evacuation centers at numerous locations throughout Colorado. Nearly 700 people stayed overnight Friday in shelters, 541 of them at seven Red Cross-managed shelters.
