A judge in northeast Nebraska has made an unusual request that a man on probation avoid dating.
Judge Mark Johnson ordered 21-year-old Jeffrey Hoadley, of Carroll, to not be involved in any romantic relationships as part of a probation term of 36 months.
Johnson told Hoadley during sentencing that he needed to focus on himself.
Hoadley was arrested in connection to a December burglary at an automotive parts store. He was accused of planning to commit the crime, though he did not participate. Another man was detained in the burglary.
Hoadley's attorney had requested probation so his client could seek help for his reliance on methamphetamine and marijuana.
