BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITY
1
Sponsor internship program (3)
During this reporting period, our SEU hosted a total
of nine interns for the programming, promotions and sales department.The internship programs allowed interns the
opportunity to learn aspects of the broadcast industry first-hand (including
music selection and station promotion) and to ask questions of radio
personnel.The interns were supervised
by the Promotions Director.
·Spring:
Three Spring interns represented the University
of Nebraska-Omaha and one came
from MidlandLutheranCollege.
·Summer:
Of our Summer interns, one was from the University of Nebraska-Omaha, two
were from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and the forth was from IowaWesternCommunity College.
·Fall:
Our Fall intern represented the University
of Nebraska-Omaha.

Participate in career fair
On March 18,
2008, our SEU participated in the Omaha Broadcasters Career Fair
in cooperation with Fairs Global and Omaha Broadcasters in Omaha,
NE.We advertised the fair over the air and on member station
websites.We also participated in
operational aspects of the fair and as a participating employer.Over 415 people attended.Station participants included the General
Manager, Program Directors, Director of Sales, Business Manager, Sales
Managers and Promotions Director.

Participate in scholarship program
In partnership with the Nebraska Broadcasters
Association, our SEU participated in the Nebraska Broadcasters Association
Foundation Student Scholarship Program that awarded $1600 scholarships to two
local students.In addition to a
monetary donation to the scholarship fund, our SEU collected and graded
applications and advertised the scholarship via station websites and on-air
announcements.Eligibility
requirements included: GPA, a scored essay, experience in the field, honors
and awards, post-high school extra curricular activities, attendance at a
four year college or university, completion of 60 credit hours as of May 31, 2008, and a desire to
pursue a career in broadcasting.

Participate in job fair
On August 25,
2008, our SEU participated ina job fair conducted by the Omaha Chamber of Commerce in Omaha,
NE.At the fair we provided information to attendees on the broadcast
industry and specific career opportunities available at our stations.Station participants included the Promotions
Manager and Sales Manager.
