NEW SCENTS ADDED TO MEN’S CANDLE COLLECTION

The Yankee Candle Company has added two candles to the Man Candles collection – hickory-smoked bacon and buttered popcorn.

Yankee Candle says 10 percent of its total sales came from the Man Candles last year – so they’re also bringing back some of the old favorites, including spicy “Man Town,” leather-scented “First Down,” and “Riding Mower,” which smells like fresh cut grass. (BostonHerald.com)

• Like – In 2011, an Israeli couple named their baby "Like" after the Facebook feature.

• Jed I. Knight – This poor kid is going to get crushed on the playground.
   
• New Folder – A couple from Houston, Texas, gave their newborn baby the temporary name “New Folder” until they can think of something better.

Think using voice-to-text while driving is safer than texting and driving? Think again. New research from the Texas Transportation Institute shows that the using voice-to-text service dulls drivers’ reactions just as much as texting while behind the wheel.

Researchers worked with 43 participants for the study, discovering that voice-to-text technology makes mistakes, creating additional distractions. Study leader Christine Yager says, “Eye contact to the roadway also decreased, no matter which texting method was used.” (Mobile Mag)
