I was pretty upset when the airlines decided to start charging for luggage. I know that they needed to find additional streams of income to stay afloat, but to start charging for something that was FREE forever kinda stings. One passenger flying from Seattle to JFK in NYC was hauled in for questioning after abandoning their bags in Seattle rather than pay the $1400 in baggage fees. WOW! I guess I shouldn't complain about my $25...but that is the money I have planned to spend on a bagel and a coke inside the airport.
How did the passenger rack up such a huge charge? See the breakdown AND find out why baggage fees will NEVER go away here.
