Tracy Lawrence picked up two philanthropic honors from community leaders in Wilson County, Tennessee during a sold-out gala Tuesday. In celebration of his charitable initiatives, Tracy received the inaugural Wilson County Humanitarian Award and a proclamation dedicating September 25th as Tracy Lawrence Day.

Tracy said, “I feel very blessed to be the first to receive the Humanitarian Award. I hope this will inspire others to the take time, give back and realize that we all can make a difference in the community.”

Tracy spearheads several local philanthropic endeavors, including the annual Mission Possible Turkey Fry, which has raised more than $100,000 for the Nashville Rescue Mission. Proceeds from Tuesday’s gala will benefit the Lebanon, Tennessee animal-welfare organization New Leash on Life.
